It’s been a while since I had gone anywhere exciting. Luckily for me, a good friend has been living in Barcelona for the past couple years. With threats of moving back to the states, no job, and cheap plane tix, I figured it was a good to take off for a bit. I literally had nothing on the agenda besides hanging out and exploring the city. No museums, no tourist traps, no bullshit. Below are some film photos of the trip.
Summer will be over before we know it and it’s been a busy one to say the least. We’ve been snapping photos along the way and accumulated a decent pile of randomly used film rolls. Here’s a portion of the good times that were had with great friends.
Here’s to another great summer in the books. Looking forward to the cooler months to come!
Yesterday a few of us gathered for the 3rd installment of The Foxhole’s, “Pop Up Swap” in Silverlake, CA. The Pop Up Swap is a swap meet/flea market/art bazaar that takes place in the backyard of Marlow and Jeff of The Foxhole’s house on the first Sunday of every month. The event continues to grow from month to month and you can bet that we will be there for the next one hanging out and buying up some rad stuff for ourselves.
See ya next month!
The 4th of July in Lake Arrowhead is a force to be reckoned with. It’s now one week later and my hangover just went away, giving me the brain capacity to finally get this post up. It may be a biased opinion but, I really do think it’s the best celebration there is. Minus a few, all the friends were there and it was one for the books. Can’t wait till next year.
Last night was the release party for Guy Mariano’s Girl x Active Ride Shop deck at Active Burbank. A bunch of friends rolled out to pick up a deck, grab a beer, and hangout for a bit.
Last night Black Mountain and Sleep Sun played at The Casbah in San Diego. The Casbah is about the size of your local dive bar and both these bands shred so it made for quite the face melting experience.
The other day we went out to The Observatory in Santa Ana to check the premier of Ambig’s new skate flick, “Modern Art”. Our good friends Clint Walker and Clive Dixon have been working on their parts for this video for some time now and there was no way that we were going to wait any longer to check out the goodness.
Check out Modern Art for yourself by picking up the new issue of Thrasher. Hint hint, it’s the one with Clint and that mean back smith on the cover.
This past Saturday was the opening of Us Versus Them’s Second Annual, Oil and Water art show in downtown San Diego. The venue was packed with people and quality pieces of art from an impressive list of artists.
Thanks to Us Versus Them for welcoming us in and putting on an awesome event! Already looking forward to next years.
