Got a chance to drool over some classic Wooden boats this weekend at the Lake Arrowhead Wooden Boat Show. Buying one of these has always been a life goal and still remains at the top of the bucket list.

The 4th of July happened last week and we made sure that we celebrated the birth of our country the only way we know how, with a giant party on Lake Arrowhead. “North Baywatch” was the theme this year so we we brought out the red shorts and one pieces while providing the best public service that we could offer. Basically, we all got hammered.

It’s been a while since I had gone anywhere exciting. Luckily for me, a good friend has been living in Barcelona for the past couple years. With threats of moving back to the states, no job, and cheap plane tix, I figured it was a good to take off for a bit. I literally had nothing on the agenda besides hanging out and exploring the city. No museums, no tourist traps, no bullshit. Below are some film photos of the trip.

Summer will be over before we know it and it’s been a busy one to say the least. We’ve been snapping photos along the way and accumulated a decent pile of randomly used film rolls. Here’s a portion of the good times that were had with great friends.

Here’s to another great summer in the books. Looking forward to the cooler months to come!

Yesterday a few of us gathered for the 3rd installment of The Foxhole’s, “Pop Up Swap” in Silverlake, CA. The Pop Up Swap is a swap meet/flea market/art bazaar that takes place in the backyard of Marlow and Jeff of The Foxhole’s house on the first Sunday of every month. The event continues to grow from month to month and you can bet that we will be there for the next one hanging out and buying up some rad stuff for ourselves.

All setup and ready to go.

See ya next month!

The 4th of July in Lake Arrowhead is a force to be reckoned with.  It’s now one week later and my hangover just went away, giving me the brain capacity to finally get this post up.  It may be a biased opinion but, I really do think it’s the best celebration there is. Minus a few, all the friends were there and it was one for the books.  Can’t wait till next year.

The other day we went out to The Observatory in Santa Ana to check the premier of Ambig’s new skate flick, “Modern Art”. Our good friends Clint Walker and Clive Dixon have been working on their parts for this video for some time now and there was no way that we were going to wait any longer to check out the goodness.

This past Saturday was the opening of Us Versus Them’s Second Annual, Oil and Water art show in downtown San Diego. The venue was packed with people and quality pieces of art from an impressive list of artists.

The first piece I checked out was this Johnny Crap oil painting that I’ve been watching him paint via instagram (@johnnycrap) for the past week. Neighboring this oil masterpiece were some of Jon Dragonette’s rad photographs.

A somewhat better look at Jon’s photos.

Kristen along with Graham Nystrom of Us Versus Them.

Graham’s tank he painted entirely with spray paint.

Ben Grillo’s piece was one of my favorites in the show.

Sonny Boy and Shaun McKinny working out the details of a trade.

Suedehead’s character work is next level. Check out more of his work here.

Morgnar also had some photos in the show.

Saw some good friends outside.

And then I ran into a bunch of jerks.

Thanks to Us Versus Them for welcoming us in and putting on an awesome event! Already looking forward to next years.
