I had the chance recently to take a vacation to Hartford, Connecticut to visit family and really just do a whole lot of nothing. We went on a few hikes, saw some rad places, and got a chance to take a break.

I haven’t been back to the East Coast in a few years and I knew that the first thing on my small agenda was to visit my cousin Marshall at his business, The Hartford Denim Company, and pick up a pair of jeans that I’ve been meaning to get. Marshall and a few of his close friends started the brand a few years back and have been growing steadily ever since. They do things the old fashioned way, the do it yourself way, the right way.

The next few days were spent enjoying much of what Connecticut has to offer. The weather was great and even though we were a few weeks early to really see the seasons change, we ventured outside as much as we could.
