The Pacific Northwest (2 of 2)
For the last day of our trip we drove a few hours up to Seattle, Washington for a quick visit. We had a few things on the agenda for the day but we mostly just wanted to check out what the city had to offer.
First we stopped at Pike Place Market to grab some food.
The first Starbucks! We had to do it.
After we got tourist stuff out of the way we walked up to Snowboard Connection at 263 Yale Ave N. If you’re in the area make sure you check out this shop. They have a crazy selection of product and they don’t hit you with the cool guy attitude.
Snow Connection had vintage boards displayed all around the shop. The Vertigo on the left is definitely one of the raddest boards ever made.
The REI headquarters is also located in Seattle and they come in fine form. This place offers everything the REI customer could ever want and then some. Just to give you a little bit of any idea at what you’re looking at, the glass structure on the right is a multi-face climbing wall. Also, throughout the trees that surround the building are tracks where customers can test mountain bikes and hiking footwear.
This is just one of the rooms inside the retail portion of the headquarters. REI is killing it.
More tourist shit.
The guys from Coalatree get around.
