The Pacific Northwest (1 of 2)

Last weekend we ventured up to Oregon and Washington to handle some much needed business. Over the course of the four days we met up with a few friends, ate some good food, drank some great beers and got some last minutes sales for our Holiday line.

We started out the trip cruising around Portland, Oregon. Travis went to school at Portland State so he was the obvious choice for tour guide.

Great view of the city from Mt. Tabor.

Escape from New York Pizza on NW 23rd Avenue has some of the best pizza in town.

Later that day we met up with our friends; June Bhongjan from Peep Show, Joe Carlino from Nike, and Java Fernandez from Bonfire and Salomon Snowboarding for dinner and drinks at Montage. This place is on SE Morrison and is definitely worth the wait.

Montage’s Menu. All you really need to know is that they have Rainiers and Mac and Cheese with Crawfish.

The next day we got breakfast at Pine State Biscuits. Breakfast hasn’t been the same since.

Our good friend Tony had told us that his friend’s band was playing at Tiger Bar that night and that we should meet up with him to check it out. Usually that is an invitation to awkwardly listen to a bunch of mediocre songs so we were a little hesitant at first. Our spirits were quickly lifted when the singer came out wearing a shirt from Portland’s finest, Red Fang. Needless to say, Alabama Black Snake brought the jams including epic covers of Black Sabbath and The Sword.

Carina and Tony are new to the area but couldn’t be happier with their new home. Congrats to Tony on his new position over at Nike and thanks for the continued support!

We closed out our night at Zach’s Shack. Best hot dogs. Period.

To be continued…
