FILM ROLL // DEEP THURSDAY

May 4th, 2016 by

It’s not everyday that we get a powder day in The San Bernardino Mountains so when one comes to town, we make time to get ours. This past January we had one of the heaviest storms that we have had in years and we were around to finally enjoy it.

A heavy chain check at lower elevation kept most down the hill. One of the many benefits to living in the mountains.

Took one run through Goldmine Canyon and then proceeded to hike laps to Silver Mountain. Most the mountain was closed for a few hours due to a power outage so if you wanted the goods you had to earn them.

They say there's no friends on a powder day but that depends on who you run into. Dan Weigel of Reach MFG was in the parking lot just before us so it was a no brainer to group up for the day. Always good running into this guy.

Bear Mountain got things running and fixed the power issue so we moved further over and took some laps on Geronimo and Deer Canyon to finish out the day.

INSPIRATIONS // 1993 SIMS NOAH SALASNEK

January 13th, 2016 by

If you like old snowboards chances are you like this board. Noah Salasnek was about as cool as cool could get and this board is just another testament to that.

Our friend Beer Savage is the proud owner of this board and was nice enough to share it with us at the office the other day. Just if anyone out there is wondering, we already call dibs if he decides to get rid of it someday.

It just so happens that we were checking out this board at the Active Ride Shop office and this old 686 with Noah was on one of the desks.
